🏆 Announcing the OHBM 2026 SEA-SIG Travel Awards!
🏆 ANNOUNCING: 2026 SEA-SIG OHBM TRAVEL AWARDS 🏆
Help us progress towards a more sustainable scientific conference!
Conference travel is one of the largest contributors to climate change coming out of neuroimaging research & academia. Prioritizing more environmentally friendly modes of transportion, such as the train, can greatly reduce the carbon foorprint of the OHBM Annual Meeting.
For the first time, the SEA-SIG will be offering travel awards to trainees (graduate students and postdocs) as an incentive to make your conference travel more sustainable! Students who show that they have reduced the number of flights required to get to the OHBM 2026 Annual Meeting in Bordeaux are eligible (e.g., trainees from Europe who show proof of taking the train to the meeting, or trainees from other continents who reduce the number of flights taken to get to the conference).
Awardees will be selected based on distance travelled using their sustainable means of transport. If more than 10 meritous applications are received that are equivalent, the awardees will be decided by a lottery.
Award amount: $300 USD
Number of awards: 10
Applications due: May 31, 2026
